"His Life was like a song he wrote in his own note and key. Each life he touched reflects a note, That forms the Melody. He chose the theme and chorus of the song to bear his name, And each one has a special sound, No two can be the same. So from the world Scotty departs, In memory we find, His song plays on within the hearts Of Those he left behind."Mom

The song you are hearing was written by Scotty shortly before he died, to his father.  He never could tell his dad how he felt, but to music. This was his dream, to write and perform music. Extended family took it Oklahoma and a nice gentleman put it music for me. Scotty was a rocker, but I know he would approve of this. A published song writer! What a legacy to leave us! Your Music lives on!

This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Scotty Brian Purcell who was born in Texas Brownwood on May 4, 1977 to LaFreda and Johnny Purcell, and passed away on October 13, 1993. You came into this world a month early, and was up and running before you knew it. Always more grown than you were suppose to be. You started out a cotton blonde little blue eyed boy, running wild with his "aggie" (rag) tickling your nose while sucking your thumb and "Sauerkraut" the frog in the other. Much to fast you grew to a handsome 6'2", 220 lb young man who worked hard to dress "bad", but that baby face and tender eyes gave you away everytime. , You never wanted to slow down, you had too much to do. We just didn't know it was true, your time was running out too fast. Music was your blood that flowed through your veins, it oozed forth in wonderful melodies and words.  You will live forever in our memories and hearts. Thank you for blessing my life for 16 years, 5 months, 9 days and 2 hours.
